Reports are the output of your application: quotations, orders, bills of materials, schedules and drawings, laid out the way you want them, filled with the project’s data and delivered as PDF.
Reports are designed in the admin interface, in a designer with a toolbox of items to place, page header, body and footer, and a properties panel. An item is bound to a field; when a user runs the report against a project the fields fill in and repeating regions grow to fit. Expressions calculate totals, conditions and formats; parameters let the user choose what a report covers.
A report is published to your users, or kept as an administrator’s report that analyzes the application itself: the most popular and most profitable products, the most active users, application usage. Which roles may see a report is yours to decide. Starter reports come with the application: a bill of materials, a cable schedule, a rack summary and a product usage dashboard among them.
Reports render on screen, print to PDF, and are produced server-side too, so the AI assistant and the API can generate a PDF without a browser.
