Integration Modules

Two ways to connect a Stardraw Cloud application to the rest of your business: your own software calling the API, and events pushed to your systems as they happen. Converting drawing files between formats is part of the DWG Module.

Developer API

Everything in your application is reachable through a documented REST API under /api/v1/, described by an OpenAPI 3 document you can browse and try in the Developer section. The Developer API Module licenses registered OAuth clients: software of your own, or a partner’s, that signs in on a user’s behalf with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE after the user has consented. Read and write projects, products, drawings, cables and reports from a CRM, an ERP, a website or a script.

  • OAuth clients are registered by an administrator, or register themselves through dynamic client registration.
  • Every call is authorized against the calling user’s privileges, and rate limited per application.
  • Code samples in several languages, and an admin API for the application’s configuration.

Webhooks

Webhooks push events from your application into your own systems the moment they happen, so you can sync a CRM, raise an order or start a build without polling. An administrator registers up to sixteen HTTPS endpoints, each subscribed to the event types it wants: a project created or deleted, a snapshot taken, a product added to or removed from a project, a drawing added, a user registered, and more.

  • Each delivery is a signed JSON envelope in the open Standard Webhooks format, so your receiver proves it came from Stardraw Cloud.
  • Delivery is retried on a schedule over several days; every attempt is logged, and any delivery can be resent from the admin page.
  • Custom request headers for API gateways, a test event to check an endpoint, and a notification email when deliveries keep failing.
