A Project can contain as many drawings as you need, of any of the following view types — you choose which are available in your application and which are added to new projects by default:
On a Block Schematic every product is drawn as a box with its input and output ports, generated from the product’s port data — there is no symbol library to maintain, and a block can collapse to just the ports in use. Cables are drawn port to port, routed around the blocks with bridges at crossings, colored by signal and checked for compatibility as you draw — a wrong connector, gender, signal or direction shows while you drag and is listed on a Problems tab.
Every cable gets a stable ID from a format you define (per application, or per project); its labels update live on the drawing, on the Cables page and on the printed labels; and a cable continues on another drawing through a paired off-page reference that stays one row of the schedule. Multicore cables are drawn one core at a time as a bundle, a cable that is not in the catalog is defined on the spot, and conduits, trunking and trays carry a fill percentage against their limit. Cable Schedule, Conduit Schedule and Cable Labels reports come ready-made, and the same operations are available to an AI assistant through the MCP tools.
Any View can also be presented in a clean, read-only Viewer — ideal for showing a customer or embedding a drawing elsewhere — with all the editing tools removed.
