Stardraw Cloud doesn't just draw your system — it understands how it connects. Cables are first-class objects that link products Port-to-Port, stay glued to the Ports they join, and follow the equipment when you move it around a drawing.

Validation as you design

As you connect Ports, every link is checked:

• Direction — confirms a Cable runs from an output to an input.
• Signal — warns when the two Ports carry different signal types.
• Connector compatibility — warns when the two Connector types aren't a permitted pairing, with the option to override a Connector on a specific Cable.

Valid connections show a green check mark; anything questionable shows a warning with the exact reason — so your team catches problems before they reach the installer.

A real Cable catalog

Behind the scenes, your application has a Cable catalog with Connectors, Connector pairings and signal definitions, all managed in the Admin Portal. That's what makes the validation meaningful for your products.
